Post-Production

Posted in Uncategorized by admin

Well, I suppose it’s needless to say, but I’ll just say it anyways - We are wrapped!

Principal photography officially wrapped in the early morning hours of August 5th. Shortly after, the cast & crew enjoyed a lovely little wrap party hosted by the Lilly family. Then we all fell asleep for two months.

When we woke up we found ourselves in post-production and what a delightful place it is to be - no more night shoots, no more mosquitos, no more abandoned buildings or honey buns…

So please, keep in touch. We are awake now and well rested and there will be more updates to come. Lengthy ones. We Promise.

Yesterday we sat down with a reporter for the Daily Tribune to talk about the film. When I woke up this morning the article was up on their homepage. Isn’t this technologically advanced world we live in great? Take a look - even if it’s just to check out our dorky photo:

Shooting on RED…

Posted in Uncategorized by admin

We’ve decided to shoot Sleepover on the new RED ONE. Very exciting. There was a time when we thought that shooting digitally would mean sacrificing something in image quality, but we no longer feel that way thanks to RED.

What’s so amazing about this camera (besides its ability to capture 4k images…) is that it is incredibly cheap when compared to other high end digital cameras capable of the same image quality, not to mention 35mm cameras. That said, it’s not THAT cheap…but for the price of a camera rental package we can own our own system which will facilitate making film after film, and that would make everyone happy, no?

In order to make this possible, we are forming a co-op with some other indie film friends/colleagues. The idea being that we will all go in on a system and then share it. While one group is shooting another is planning and then another group shoots while one moves into post…

We have yet to pick out a clever little name for our co-op…we welcome any suggestions you may have.
